Psalms, Chapter 6

6:1 For the Chief Musician; on stringed instruments, set to the Sheminith. A Psalm of David. O Yahweh, don't rebuke me in your anger, Neither chasten me in your hot displeasure.
6:2 Have mercy on me, O Yahweh; for I am withered away: Heal me, O Yahweh; for my bones are troubled.
6:3 My soul also is intensely troubled: And you, O Yahweh, how long?
6:4 Return, O Yahweh, deliver my soul: Save me for your loving-kindness' sake.
6:5 For in death there is no remembrance of you: In Sheol who will give you thanks?
6:6 I am weary with my groaning; Every night I make my bed to swim; I water my couch with my tears.
6:7 My eye wastes away because of grief; It waxes old because of all my adversaries.
6:8 Depart from me, all you+ workers of iniquity; For Yahweh has heard the voice of my weeping.
6:9 Yahweh has heard my supplication; Yahweh will receive my prayer.
6:10 All my enemies will be put to shame and intensely troubled: They will turn back, they will be put to shame suddenly.
